Hello! I'm David Ginn. Magic man, book writer, funny talker. I love children, and they love me! I love amazing them, amusing them, and teaching them - because learning can be fun!
That is why I've designed EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES for the past 30+ years - mixing comedy, magic tricks, music, juggling, puppets, and stories to share what I've learned about my subjects - all done in ways that children understand. The truth is that your kids will think I'm doing a "magic show." They won't even realize WHAT they learn until later!
Beyond the subject of each theme show, I am always telling your students how they can learn more - by reading books! After all, I started my magic career by reading magic books in my school library, so I strongly believe in READING for learning and fun! Take a look at these DOZEN different programs, and you'll see what I mean. |

ALL ABOUT GEORGIA MAGIC SHOW.
What do peanuts, cotton, peaches, and Coca-Cola, Girl Scouts, Stone Mountain, Little Richard, Cherokee & Creek Indians, James Oglethorpe, Martin Luther King, CNN, Jimmy Carter, Gone with the Wind, Delta Airlines, and the 1996 Summer Olympics all have in common?
They're all part of the rich history of David Ginn’s home state! With his All About GEORGIA Magic Show, this busy globe-trotting performer takes you on a magical visit from the mountains of North Georgia to the coastal plains! You’ll see peaches multiply, Coca-Cola disappear, and you’ll “cotton” to everything else David shows you. Don’t be surprised if Harry the Magic Rabbit makes an unexpected appearance! You might not even see him, since you’ll be laughing and learning fun facts about Georgia all during this exciting show! |
READING IS FOREVER. Using comedy, magic, and music, David demonstrates how reading opens doorways to the world and how reading affects us all our lives. Through the story of Ben Carson he shows the dangers of too much TV viewing and how anyone can "read yourself smart." Students delight when magic rabbit Harry appears out of the pages of the daily newspaper, after David makes it into a tree!

David even recites a poem to drive home the importance of READING + IMAGINATION.

Who built those pyramids and how? Can David really pick up five heavy bricks with one hand? And what is the Riddle of the Sphinx? Maybe Harry the Magic Bunny can help figure it all out, along with your audience of students. Great subject matter for third grades, who suggested this topic in the first place. |
MAGIC DOWN UNDER. After five trips to Australia and New Zealand, David enjoys sharing the world on the other side of our planet with 2nd grades who study it. There's comedy with Kenny the Koala, an explanation of why Aussies are NOT really upside-down, and more educational fun with Australian animals, including kangaroos, dingos, and emus. David brings along genuine boomerangs, Australian money, and a cattleman's hat bought in Brisbane. A teacher's ring makes a 12,000 mile journey, plus a down under Q & A session if time permits.
